Vintage Norwegian Bentwood Tine Box – Dated 1944
A charming Norwegian folk art keepsake / jewelry box, crafted in traditional bentwood style, dated “1944” on the top. Made of steam-bent wood (likely pine or spruce), with overlapping bentwood construction and simple pyrography & burn-mark decoration: geometric and floral motifs, dots, and carved date. The lid fits into flexible bent side posts in classic tine style.
This piece shows natural patina, signs of wear consistent with age, some darkening / toning of wood, and a rustic feel. No painted decoration—just pure wood craftsmanship and burn-decor.
