A rare **Norwegian wooden ale bowl (ølbolle)** with hand carved exterior details and painted rosemaling decoration inside, dating from the 1700s. The interior features primitive floral motifs in red, yellow, green and black, while the underside bears carved initials. The outside shows beautiful hand carved work around the rim and base. This piece carries a stunning patina that only centuries of age can create.
It has text on the outside of the bowl, it's too worn to decipher.
