This authentic wooden trunk still carries its original inscription: “Guttorm Olsen Moen Aar 1851”. The surface shows a rich 19th-century patina, and if you look closely, you can even glimpse traces of the original rosemaling (Norwegian folk painting) beneath the later paint layers.
