Antique Zenith Silver Pocket Watch – ca. early 1900s
A fine antique Zenith pocket watch housed in a solid 0.800 silver case. The inside is hallmarked with the silver purity mark "0.800" and engraved with awards: Grand Prix Paris 1900 and Médaille d’Or Genève 1896.
The movement is inscribed: Zenith, Ancre, 15 Rubis, Spiral Breguet, Balancier Compensé. This indicates a 15-jewel Swiss lever movement with Breguet hairspring and compensated balance – hallmarks of Zenith’s renowned watchmaking at the turn of the 20th century.
The dial is white enamel with black numerals and a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock. It shows age-related wear: noticeable cracks across the enamel, and a small area of porcelain loss beneath the hands. Despite this, the dial remains legible and displays its antique charm. Blued steel ornate hands add elegance.
