This coffee cup set was produced by Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik in Norway during the 1970s. It belongs to the Marguerite series, designed by Grete Rønning, and features the iconic Red Rand decor.
The design reflects the clean modernist aesthetic of the decade. The cups are cylindrical with characteristic right angled handles, typical of 1970s Scandinavian design. The bold dark red band placed at the lower part of the cup and along the saucer rim creates a strong yet elegant visual contrast against the white porcelain.
The set includes five matching cups and saucers. All pieces are in very good vintage condition with vibrant color and glossy glaze. No chips or cracks. A collectible and well preserved example of Norwegian mid century modern porcelain.
