Vintage Certina Wristwatch – ca. 1940s–1950s
A fine vintage Swiss wristwatch by Certina featuring their calibre 28-15 manual wind movement with 17 jewels. The movement is signed "Certina 28-15 – 17 Jewels – Swiss" and remains intact with visible ruby jewels.
The dial is cream with a contrasting black outer ring and Arabic numerals, gilt hour and minute hands, and subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock. The dial shows attractive patina, spotting, and aging consistent with its mid-century origin.
The stainless steel case is marked "Certina – Swiss – Inoxydable" and has a screw back. The watch runs when wound, but accuracy has not been tested and service is recommended for daily use. Original period leather strap included, heavily worn.
