Vintage Norwegian Oval Birch Bark Tobacco Jar – dated 1933
This rare Norwegian tobacco jar is handcrafted from birch bark in an oval shape with a fitted wooden lid and original leather strap handle. The lid is inscribed “Minde fra Lillehammer” (translated “Memory from Lillehammer”), making it a meaningful commemorative piece as well as a functional storage jar. The base is marked 1933 with the initials G.A., adding a personal historical touch. The bark has a deep warm brown tone with natural texture, and the jar still carries a faint sweet tobacco aroma from its original use.
