Kubbestoler were traditional Scandinavian log chairs, carved from a single hollowed tree trunk and often painted in earthy tones. This example retains its original red paint with age-crackled patina. The back features a cut-out heart-shaped detail.
The chair shows typical rustic craftsmanship with stitched and tooled carved details around the base. A vertical crack runs along the back, but the chair remains stable and stands securely.
