This vintage Elgin 10k gold filled automatic wristwatch is a classic mid-century American design from approximately the late 1950s to early 1960s. The 26mm square case, original acrylic crystal, and 19-jewel automatic movement give it the refined, understated look for which Elgin’s dress watches are known. The watch ticks and runs with visible vintage wear.
The dial has pronounced spotting and patina (see photos) that adds authentic character. The original acrylic crystal shows use marks, and the gold filled case displays honest age-related wear. It is fitted with a vintage two-tone stretch bracelet.
