This antique Hy. Moser & Cie ladies wristwatch dates to the 1910s, prior to 1920, and represents an early example of Swiss wristwatch production. The dial is correctly signed “Hy. Moser & Cie,” a prestigious Swiss manufacture founded in 1828 and historically known for producing high-quality timepieces.
The watch features a gold toned dial with Arabic numerals, gold colored hands, and a small seconds subdial at six o’clock. It is housed in a gold plated case with 20 micron plating and a steel case back, measuring approximately 21 mm without the crown.
The watch is running, ticking lightly and quietly, and adjusts smoothly. Service history is unknown. It is fitted with a period Elasta Luxus gold rolled expansion bracelet and is accompanied by a vintage presentation gift box from a well-known Norwegian jeweler.
