This antique Norwegian wall hung flour or salt box dates to the 1800s and is a classic example of rural Scandinavian household storage. Made from bentwood construction with wooden bands, it was traditionally mounted on the wall and used for storing flour, salt, or other dry goods.
The surface features a stunning deep green painted finish that has developed naturally over generations of use. Heavy wear, paint loss, and patina are present throughout, giving the piece strong character and authenticity.
