This is a complete set of five hand painted ceramic decorative tiles produced at Porsgrunn Porcelain Studio in Norway. The tiles are mounted in wooden frames and fitted with original hanging hardware on the back.
Each tile is hand painted using a distinctive studio technique where the surface appears crackled, resembling crushed glass beneath a clear glaze. This glazing method enhances depth and reflection, giving the tiles a glossy finish with strong, vibrant colors. All pieces are individually signed by Norwegian artist Konrad Galaaen.
The set consists of tiles dated from different years: two from 1983, one from 1985, one from 1989, and one from 1991. They work beautifully as a grouped wall display or can be arranged individually, representing Norwegian studio ceramics across several years of the artist’s production.
