This wall mounted candle holder was designed by Norwegian artist Konrad Galaaen for Porsgrund Porcelain Factory and dates from the 1960s. It represents Scandinavian mid century design with a bold and expressive ceramic surface.
The ceramic tile is finished in a vivid red glaze with concentric circular decoration, created using a special crystalline glaze technique. The surface has depth and texture with a subtle glass-like appearance beneath a clear glaze. This colorway is less commonly found than other variants and stands out as a striking decorative piece. The tile is mounted in a black iron frame with integrated candle dish and wall hanger.
