Vintage Soviet toy sewing machine produced by Orsha in the former USSR during the 1960s–1970s. These machines were designed to introduce children to basic sewing skills in a playful yet functional way and are well known today as classic examples of Soviet educational toys.
The machine is constructed from painted metal and mounted on a solid wooden base. It features decorative floral decals, a hand-operated metal wheel, visible needle mechanism, and a top-mounted thread spool. The wooden base is clearly stamped “Made in USSR,” confirming its origin.
This example shows stunning, honest patina with light surface wear consistent with age. The paint, decals, and metal components remain well preserved. The set includes the original cardboard carrying box with integrated handle, completing the original presentation.
