Authentic Norwegian folk art rolling pin from the 1800s, hand carved and traditionally known as a rillekjevle or krotakjevle. This handmade kitchen tool was essential when baking lefse, flatbrød and other traditional Scandinavian flatbreads.

The deep carved ridges press air out of the dough while creating the textured surface required for classic Norwegian baked goods. The wood clearly shows signs of long use, giving it a warm, honest patina that reflects its working life.

A strong example of primitive Scandinavian folk craftsmanship — beautiful for display and still functional for traditional baking.
