Authentic Norwegian rosemaling wooden chest from the 1920s, originating in Os, a small village outside Bergen. Decorated in traditional Os-maling, a regional folk art style known for its red base tones, green framing and expressive floral scrollwork.
The box is hand painted with flowing leaf and floral motifs on the lid and sides. Inside is a fitted wooden tray, making it practical for jewelry, sewing supplies or small keepsakes. A true Scandinavian folk art piece with regional character.
