Original Norwegian porcelain wall plaque designed by Konrad Galaaen for Porsgrund Studio during the 1960s–1970s. The piece features his iconic stylized bird motif rendered in bold black with vibrant blue glaze details.
Created using his characteristic deep relief technique, the design is pressed into the porcelain and the recessed areas are filled with richly colored glazes. This produces a beautiful depth effect and striking contrast between the raised outlines and the glossy enamel surfaces. A strong example of Scandinavian mid century porcelain design.
