A rare vintage Norwegian porcelain wall plaque designed by Konrad Galaaen for Porsgrund, dating to the 1960s. This striking relief features a stylized crowned princess figure rendered in bold geometric forms and expressive glaze work.
The ceramic motif is executed in Galaaen’s characteristic deep relief technique, creating dimensional contrast between raised contours and richly glazed recessed areas. The glaze palette combines cobalt blue, violet, teal and earthy brown tones with subtle texture and depth. Mounted on a solid pine board, the warm natural wood grain enhances the sculptural porcelain surface beautifully.
