Rare stoneware sculpture of a sleeping fox designed by Gunnar Nylund for Rorstrand Sweden.
Produced during his time as artistic director from 1931 to 1955. Nylund is widely recognized as one of the most important figures in Scandinavian ceramic design.
This piece features a semi matte brown and sand glaze often referred to as hares fur glaze. The fox is captured in a calm curled resting pose with strong organic modern lines.
