Beautiful handcrafted Norwegian bunad knife made entirely by Tore Noddeland, including the blade, handle and sheath. This is a traditional decorative folk costume knife worn with bunad on Norway’s National Day (17th May) and for formal celebrations and events.
The handle is made from holly wood and is fully hand carved with deep scroll ornamentation. The silver mounts are solid 925 sterling silver, stamped 925 and T.N, and finished with detailed hand engraving. The sheath is handcrafted leather with carved pattern and engraved silver fittings.
This example is in excellent condition with only minimal signs of age. It appears unused and has been very well preserved.
