This antique Pflueger Progress fly reel is a classic American skeleton-style reel from the 1920s. Its open frame construction was designed to reduce weight while maintaining strength, making it a popular choice among early fly anglers.
The reel features a ventilated brass spool with a dark aged finish and natural patina. The black handle knob and round tension cap remain intact, and the original line is still mounted. The foot is stamped “60,” indicating the Progress 60 model.
