This NyForm troll figurine No. 177 is often referred to as the “Apprehensive Troll” or “Peek-a-boo troll.” The charming design shows the troll sitting with its hands covering its face, as if shyly hiding while peeking through its fingers. The long nose, large ears, and green troll hair give the figure a playful and expressive personality typical of NyForm troll designs.
The model was designed by Norwegian artist Trygve Torgersen and introduced in the 1990s. Like all original NyForm trolls, it was handmade in Norway, individually molded and hand painted. Because each piece is crafted by hand, small variations in color and expression make every troll slightly unique.
