This authentic Fosse Troll No. 402 is a handmade Norwegian troll figurine produced by the company Fosse Troll, founded by Sven Schulze in the Oslo area. These figures became popular Scandinavian collectibles inspired by traditional Nordic folklore.
The troll has a mischievous personality with messy natural hair and a distinctive face showing a single visible tooth. The expressive sculpting and hand-painted finish give each piece its own character.
Fosse Troll figures were cast using a latex and resin mixture and then individually hand painted. Natural materials were often used for the hair, making every troll slightly different. Based on the markings and style, this example dates to 2001.
