This NyForm troll figurine is the well known model “Old Grandfather with Staff,” number 040. It is one of the classic and recognizable designs produced by Ny Form and reflects traditional Norwegian troll folklore.
The figure shows an older troll holding a walking staff and listening with one hand to his ear. The troll has expressive facial features, large ears, a long nose, and wild natural hair typical for NyForm figures. Each troll is individually molded and hand painted, giving every piece a slightly unique appearance.
