This original Fosse Troll figurine Art. 149 was designed by Norwegian artist Sven Schulze and produced by Fosse-Troll AS during the 1990s. The figure represents a forest spirit shaped like a tree trunk, blending Scandinavian folklore with a rustic wood-like sculptural style.
The character has a distinctive expression with one glass eye and the other eye formed naturally within the bark texture. A small tuft of hair on top and flowing root-like shapes around the base give the piece the look of a living woodland creature.
Each figure was handmade in Norway using a mixture of natural latex and mineral materials, then individually painted. Because of this handcrafted process every piece has its own unique appearance.
