Konrad Galaaen Red Ceramic Wall Candle Holder - 1960s Scandinavian Modernist Iron Sconce
$196.00 $245.00
A distinctive Norwegian wall candle holder by Konrad Galaaen, dating to the 1960s. A handmade glazed ceramic tile set within a substantial iron frame combines a vivid red focal point with a bold, geometric design.
The square tile features a circular composition with a rich red center, a dark surrounding ring, and a contrasting cream-colored band with scattered darker flecks. Variations in color and surface texture give the glaze visual depth, while the dark iron frame provides a restrained architectural outline.
The expressive glazed surface contrasts with the simple metalwork and projecting round candle dish. Compact yet eye-catching, this piece works as both a functional candle holder and a decorative accent for a mid-century or Scandinavian-inspired interior.
