Konrad Galaaen Yellow Ceramic Wall Candle Holder - 1960s Scandinavian Modernist Iron Sconce
$260.00 $325.00
A vibrant Norwegian wall candle holder by Konrad Galaaen, dating to the 1960s. A handmade glazed ceramic tile in brilliant yellow is set within a substantial dark iron frame, creating a striking contrast of color, texture, and geometric form.
The square tile features a recessed circular motif outlined by a deep green border that appears almost black in places. Subtle blue-green transitions soften the meeting of the dark ring and bright yellow glaze. Fine crackle-like patterns across the glossy surface add visual depth and detail.
The bold yellow ceramic contrasts with the restrained iron frame and projecting round candle dish. Compact yet eye-catching, this piece makes a colorful accent for a Scandinavian or mid-century interior, whether displayed as a candle holder or decorative wall art.
